I'm starting to think that Higgins might have a golden touch.

Empathy starts for a little dinosaur surrounded by a classroom of delicious-tasting children when the class goldfish chomps on her finger. I would have liked this better with less blah illustrations.

This book has it all! It is adorable and laugh out loud funny! But it also tells a fantastic story that all young children can relate to about making friends and making choices at school. Perfect for the first few weeks back to school. Recommended fro Pre-K - 2nd grade.

This was a fun book to read! My students loved Mother Bruce when we read it in the spring and I am thinking about reading them this book for the first day of school. I enjoy how it reads. It is surprising and predictable both at the same time and my students love that type of book.

I am also pleased with its diversity of race, religion, and gender. I liked to see students of many colors and dress in the class and that the dad was the one greeting him home from school.

I cannot wait to see what book comes out next!
