A fun romp set in a future where free market corporations have run amok, and the United States of America has taken much of the world. Release almost 10 years old, but as poignant as ever.

The large number of characters in this book left me a little confused at times as to who is who again and how they are all connected. I also felt the book dragged on a little near the end. Other than that it is a really great story set in a slightly frightening and yet oddly recognizable alternative reality where privatization reigns supreme.

The setting of this book is a world where corporations have almost as much control as governments. Given this, I found it funny to see a reference about Borders.
This book has a very interesting plot which got a little out of control at some points. The ending left me hanging in a bad way.

Interesting and fun premise that is ruined by terrible and painful writing.

Distopian future book in the spirit of super sad true love story. It is really almost a pure thought experiment on how this kind of society would work with only loose interest in things like plot and characters. Still enjoyable
