Well.
All I can say is I found my first trigger in this book and that you should absolutely make sure you are aware of the content in this contains before reading.
I am a dark romance lover through and through and there isn’t a lot that phases me.
Well I’ll tell you what does phase me…. SOMNOPHILIA. Did I know what it was prior to this book. No. Am I deeply disturbed by it now. Yes. And believe it or not this was a “consensual” somnophilia act, which made it no more palatable.
This made me feel as uncomfortable to read as baby reindeer is to watch. IYKYK.
The beginning of the book was quite confusing to read, I couldn’t understand the characters relationships to each other and the reason for such animosity between each other, it felt as though I had started a movie half way through.
It did eventually start to explore the background of these about 50-60% of the way into the book, but I truely felt lost until that point.
Two serial killers come academics are working at a “body farm” where they study human decomposition with “donations” to the farm for science and the perfect spot to hide remains.
Jack and Kyrie are rival colleagues and killers and are constantly at each other’s throats

I tried. I really did but I don’t even think I get the reason why this book was written. I couldn’t connect with any of the characters. 200 pages in I was begging myself to continue that just maybe. Maybe I’ll like this at some point but no it just got worse
