Marrow have such promise for dark romance. I starting to pick up murder romance. It is a new breeze for romance genre. However Marrow is not entirely enticing to me.

This book is not for the faint hearted. It is NOT like butcher & blackbird with the exception that it is a story about two rival serial unalivers who happen to fall for each other. It is not a cute meet up. It is obsessive, unhealthy & toxic. This book takes every gorey & graphic detail to the extreme. It is violent, detailed and very unhinged. The authors don't shy away from how depraved the characters are. The trigger warnings are real and you should definitely abide by them.
That being said, I think going into this book with the correct expectations is going to make or break your experience. If you are looking for some psychotic serial unalivers that are academic enemies & end up equally psychotic lovers, and enjoy the nitty gritty details of how they unalived their vics & got away with it, this is for you.

dnf at 45% bc it was too emotionally scarring to keep reading wtf is this book i like really dark plots but this was way too much for my moral compass 1 star for the beginning before it got weird
The entire concept of this book was fun with two rival serial killers eventually falling for each others when they coma across a mutual enemy. The spice was interesting

It took me way to long to read this. Especially because it is such a good story - a story about two serial unalivers that get into each others way, and that stokes a rivalry between them. Kyrie and Jack are both not exactly easy characters, but they are fascinating each in their own way. And once the inital cause of distrust wears off, they are a great team, perfect for one another. I love the armosphere - this is truly a vibe-kind-of-book, atmospheric in a way laced with good spice 🫶🏼
