Wow what a story! Jack is the true definition of a ride or die lol
What a great story!! I was hooked from the very first chapter. Then when.. well.. what happens after the awards ceremony early in the book.. I could not put it down. I read this book from start to finish in two sittings. If you read Trisha Wolfe’s work.. you know. I’ve not read Brynne Weaver before, but if this is an example of what her work is like, I’m in.
Jack is a forensic anthropologist.. a professor.. and.. well.. a serial killer. He’s cold, dark, and broody. And he thinks he wants Kyrie gone. But from the beginning, I wasn’t so sure he really did.
Kyrie is a wildlife biologist, also a professor. She’s funny, smart, outgoing… and…well.. also a serial killer. She works at the same college as Jack. And.. she has a secret that involves him. When she tells him that it’s not the first time they’ve met…
Hmmm.. two serial killers, one college.. one body farm… what could go wrong. This entire book had me just waiting to find out what happened next, and it did not disappoint. The things they say to each other.. what they do.. you definitely want to read this.
I’ve been a Trisha Wolfe fan for a long time, but now I need to go and get Brynne Weaver’s books… Happy reading.. I can’t wait to hear what YOU think!!

I don't think I've seen enough people talk about this book. I only found it after I read Butcher and Blackbird because I was looking for that same vibe. What I loved about this was it was so much more enemies to lovers, yet they had already fallen (maybe him first?) Without too much spoiler, his work with flowers nearly made me cry it was so beautiful. And they way they got right under each other's skin? Ugh I loved the teasing. AND THEN THERE WAS THE SPICE. I have to be honest the first fantasy on his side was a bit... wild. Shocking. ButI embraced it fully. And let me tell you chapter 17 lives RENT FREE in my head. We love a consent king who is not afraid to tell her what he wants and HE GOT IT IN THAT CHAPTER. I had never thought that would be a kink I'd enjoy reading about and fantasising about but WOW. The thing is that I could go on and on about these two and their sweet, dark, and funny flirting but just know you should read this book if you don't mind a dark romance.
