Freaky dudes

mehhhh
I had very high hopes considering how much I enjoyed Butcher and Blackbird...
I couldnt feel the chemistry between the couple, and it all just kinda escalates and the main characters just accepts it very quickly.

Rival serial killers scientists, one born, one made — definitely check your trigger warnings — this book is com-lately cooked, it is so wrong in so many ways but was well written and followed an intriguing storyline — i found myself hanging from every word and unable to put it down — the romance between the fmc and mmc worked well as they are both as unhinged as each other and if you look past their murdery and stalkerish habits would make for a rather sweet love story — wouldn’t change it for the world though as cooked books is kinda my jam atm — i thoroughly enjoyed this book, there was just the right mix of intellectual subject matter, mystery and unhinged passion — there isn’t a hell of a lot of spice in here and what is in there is so far from what’s deemed socially acceptable that you 100% need to check your trigger warnings for this one — one scene in particular also had me questioning my morality and thinking what the actual fuck did I just read and why am I reacting this way — if there was ever a romantic way for 2 twisted as fuck people to find each other and live happily ever after, it’s written in this book.

Like it was almost good? Still gripped by the end and likes the premise but not as much as the others. Harder to get into

This was a very enjoyable read. I love my serial killer romances especially when both main characters are one. I loved learning more about the characters, the history and how they tick. I enjoyed the interactions between the main characters. However
I felt they transitioned from enemies to lovers too fast. Especially on Jack's side. He finds out who she was and all of a sudden he cares about her? Its a bit strange even considering she got under his skin beforehand. He was obsessed with how she drove him mad and her eyes but otherwise disliked her. On Kyrie's end, originaly I felt she trusted him too easily after swearing to get revenge and make him suffer. After everything he did to her. I felt she let go of her rage far too soon, was willing to trust him far too soon. But at the same time, I understand why. Hes her hero, her savior, her angel. She strove so long to get his acceptence with no success. She finally got some attention from him and couldnt help but relive in it. She succumbed to it. She forgave him and trusted him becaus  she wanted it so badly. To feel wanted and not alone.
anyway, I really enjoyed this ride.
