I loved this book, it was an absolute 5 star-read from me. Any book which has me tearing up and cheering for the romance between two serial killers is a good one in my books. I loved the grumpy x sunshine vibes between Jack and Kyrie combined with the ways Weaver & Wolfe flip the traditional tropes (for example she stalks him). Adding in academic fields working in forensics this made for a great book with good twists and turns.

Without me, Jack Sorensen would be just another brilliant academic whose work shines like a distant star in the sky, pretty but underwhelming, always battling to be freed from the black blanket of mediocrity. Because of me, Jack Sorensen shines like the harvest moon. I am the sun whose light reflects on his cold, remote mask. And I am the celestial fire that will destroy him.

I loved Marrow! It didn't tug on my heartstrings like "Black Sheep" did, or make me laugh like "Butcher & Blackbird" but it was almost a 5 star read! The story and characters are complex, there is growth, groveling, fun sex scenes, etc! It is what I have come to expect from these authors and is a good book.

In 2024 I am playing 'HAE or Nah?" where I determine if this couple will have a happily ever after or nah.
So will this couple have a HEA? I think so! It's that, or someone is having a very quick ending. I don't see the relationship ending unless death makes them part.
