I did really enjoy having a main character with a disability and the overall concept of the story is fun, but the writing itself is lackluster in my opinion and the romance/smut has concerning elements - namely (often very) dubious consent. Not that I don't necessarily enjoy some kinky content, but the whole relationship felted forced upon the main character who semi-reluctantly rolled with it to avoid drama.

i'm just going to copy my notes from nu:
  • it took a hot minute for the plot to actually get good (50-60 chapters in)
  • characters got pretty okay development (du ze got smarter lmao)
  • i genuinely appreciate all the dnd references
  • started off at 2.5 stars, then around ch 60 went up to 3, then at ch 91 went to 3.5. by the end + the extras, i'm hovering somewhere between 3-3.5 stars (/5)
  • ch 91 was also so hella good omg... it really made the whole book for me
  • ykinmk, and that's okay
