This book was extremely cute! I really enjoyed hearing the story of a small mouse and his bravery. I think it's a very meaningful book, and I'm glad it has become a classic. I definitely recommend to others looking for a little bravery inside themselves.

Not many books revolve around the outlawing of soup, but this one does. It's a funny story about a little mouse called Despereaux who is the hero and is in love with a human princess. I think it's a quirky book and perfect for children, it seemed middling in story quality for me. However, I do love the movie adaptation of this book and would recommend for people to watch that.

This book is the ideal when thinking of the traditional fantasy of a knight saving the princess, and yet goes so much farther than that. Following the journey of the small mouse Despereaux as he falls in love and fights to save the Princess Pea against the dastardly rats of the castle dungeons, we learn the importance and effects of our passions and how fate has a ironic way of weaving our lives together. A charming, heart-warming tale that wraps the reader up like a cozy blanket, I would highly recommend it to readers of all ages.
