Perfectly weird are the two words I held on my tongue as I read this pop of color picture book. The cover instantly pulled me in. Children will connect with the unique style of illustration paired with a message of bravery and friendship.

Bo's brothers go out monster hunting, and won't let her come along. She decides to do some monster hunting by herself, and ends up befriending some creatures along the way.

This book is so cute! Bo is truly fearless and kind and smart, and I loved her sweet character. The story is interesting and funny, with a repetitive plot that is perfect for little readers. Children love repetition and this book has just the right balance in the writing.

The illustrations are captivating! The contrasting colors really focus the attention on key characters and items in the artwork, and the rest of the background is in black and white. It's beautifully done, and I love the art style.

The messages of kindness and self-reliance are wonderful, and teach children a little lesson in a fun way. The whole book is perfection, and I enjoyed it so much!

The illustrations in this book have a set color scheme. I enjoyed the art style. This was a story about acceptance and taught that looking like a monster doesn't make you a monster, it's your actions that matter.

Delightful.  Bo the Brave wants to hunt monsters with her brothers, but they wont let her go.  They think she is too small.  Well, she shows them.  She becomes the best monster hunter because she realizes that monsters need love too.  A great book for anytime, but also good for abstractly talking about why hunting is not nice.

Bo wants to go with her brothers to fight monsters, but, oh no, they don't want her coming along. So she shows them: she goes off on her own and what does she find? A furious griffin, a hideous kraken, and a monstrous dragon. But are they really monsters at all? What are the real monsters in this story and can Bo conquer them?
