Probably my least favorite of the three so far. Still a fun, quick read, but the Dresden/white knight shtick was a little overdone here, I thought. I get that it's just a part of the character, but it does annoy me.

The actual plot was a little simplistic as well, compared to Fool Moon. I think it was a bit of a step back, but maybe was done to accomplish something specific -- namely, setting up a bigger arc for the next book(s). This was the first of the three with a lot of forward momentum at the ending, which is kind of nice.

I got bored with the ghosts and vampires here, probably because there really wasn't much introduced as new here. We've met the vampires, and the ghosts were about what we all would expect. It was nice to see a bit of the different Vampire Courts, but even that felt pretty expected.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of the White Council and the magical community as a whole, so hopefully the next few books show some of that off.

Anyways, overall this was still enjoyable, but a bit dull in comparison to the second book (my favorite of the three).

Wasn’t my favorite of the series but none the less I enjoyed this book...even though it took me FOREVER to read.

I think I enjoyed this one the most so far. They really do just keep getting better and better. I definitely recommend the audiobooks, though. You just can’t go wrong there.

Grave Peril definitely did not disappoint and jumped right into the action. There was quite a bit going on, and there was even a glimpse of Harry's backstory. I'm really excited to see where these new developments lead. I love the little details included, like the different sects of Vampires and how they act. I felt the subplot with Susan was kind of expected, and that the story needed more interactions with Karrin, but I still really enjoyed it.
