Another great story by Sparks. I loved the parallel stories and kept picturing Scott Eastwood as Luke. I can't wait to see the movie!

Nicholas Sparks I love you!! I haven't read many of his books but the ones I have I love. This book was so good but very depressing. Typical. Both the young and old couples in this story. It was so heart warming to see how Ira loves his wife still after all these years. 4/5 stars. Nothing was particularly wrong with book but just wasn't a 5 star for me. Loved it though!! And that ending omg!!!

The story itself was entertaining. However, the main elements discussed in the book were the characters’ backstories, making the story seem to drag on more than it should have.
One word... WOW! I would've never imagined that I could relate to parts of a story like I did in this book. The emotional parts are all put in the right places and will definitely be worth reading over multiple times.
So I usually enjoy the cheesy writings of Nicholas Sparks, not this time. It was a boring and somewhat predictable book.
This is a typical Sparks love story with a fairytale ending, but it was a nice diversion for awhile. Every once in awhile, I just need a retreat.
