It was a reasonable story and as I had read the two summer novels, and this fell in between them I was really just filling in some of the blanks that probably did not need to be filled in. I probably would have benefited from reading something else instead.

Read before Tanlines, that way the things that occur in Tanlines will make so much more sense. Good.

I enjoyed this book, I really did. I thought it had some really interesting elements to the plot but at some points I felt like it was getting to be very predictable. Maybe that's why I like this series, a predictable summer themed love story with good friends. Either way I really enjoyed this book and I love the series of course! I would recommend the book and the series as a whole!

Pros
1. As sad as this is I don't think I have one.
Cons
1. It was rather unnecessary. Like I didn't get why half the things that were in the book were there and it just generally kind of sucked.
2. I only bought it because I planned on reading tan lines and this is the book in between but I don't know any more.
3. Austin was an unnecessary character and Summer was just annoying me.
4. I really didn't enjoy this at all which is a shame because I really enjoyed beach blondes.

I was never a Seth fan anyways. Bring on the Austin. He better come back.
And I want some romance for Diver!

This book was pretty meh for me. Maybe it’s because it was book 4 in a series and I didn’t know that until they kept referencing things that had happened in the previous books. I didn’t connect with any of the characters, and I felt like the timeline moved too quickly for anything to feel as if it had substance.
Summer was a pretty basic character. Her relationship with Seth was kinda cute. Austin just gave me creepy vibes. He couldn’t respect that Summer was in a relationship, and he kept pushing. He was also instantly in love with her which I didn’t like. I felt like he was a coward who was just preying on Summer being nice in order to avoid his feelings and the things he was supposed to do. I also didn’t like Marquez. I thought she was a bad friend.
It was a pretty quick read and light read. It touched on a couple of heavier topics briefly but never really dove into them. I didn’t really get any romance out of the book at all, and I didn’t care for the love triangle that was building.
