For those watching the TV show, it goes through like halfway through this book. And I kinda got lost a bit on the new content. I think it's partially because I didn't already know what was going on so the science was harder to follow, plus there is a time jump so we're in a future that's more difficult to understand, and I believe there is a cultural/translation gap. So, I think I'll wait on book three until after the TV series catches up...

I was waiting for the Dark Forest/Fermi Paradox solution for the whole book! I had guessed that this whole book would be about that, but it really only comes into play at the end. That said, the explanation was very eloquent and I loved it, so maybe worth the wait?

Great end, but struggled with one of the main characters and his live interest and it was just very slow going.
