I went into this book with high hopes, as many of my mutuals on tiktok LOVED this. I gave it a solid 3.5 stars, I’ll definitely pick up the second book, but I just wanted more from this book.
I didn’t see the final twist coming, but I was able to pinpoint many others throughout the book, and the main love interest in this book did leave me a little uncomfortable.
I just felt like this book could maybe have been shorter ?

really enjoyed this book!
i loved the eerie vibe, and reading it in september made the timing perfect.
the author's descriptions were gorgeous, especially how signa's eyes were described.
the mystery wasn't predictable at all (i literally gasped when it unfolded).
the characters were perfect too, each with just enough unlikeable traits to feel real, which i love in books.
i didn't give it 5 stars because it took me a while to get into, and some side characters felt a bit underdeveloped. but overall, such a great read and i'm excited to pick up the next one!
