The beautiful cover fooled me! While this wasn’t horrible, it could have been better with a faster pacing, less repetitive inner dialogue and a stronger mystery. This book definitely emphasized to me that I am not a fan of romances between an ancient being and a teenager. This trope felt even creepier than usual. I liked the beginning and the ending and wished the middle could have been a lot shorter. I will not be continuing on.

I rarely enjoy murder mysterious, bu this book is the exception. It is a mixture of a mystery and fantasy romance. Feel good but with some spice.
This was a cool concept but I'd say it's a 3.75 because I struggled a little in the middle of this. It was however saved by the parts with Death so I will be continuing on for that. This is like Bridgerton if it was paranormal and one of the suiters vying for her hand was Death, so that's pretty cool.
