A great mixture of text styles, with art pages scattered throughout. I enjoyed the difference in voices, and how the story was told. A great introduction to how Cassius Clay became Muhammad Ali, although I do wish there was more detail.

A cute story that I’m looking forward to showcasing in my classroom. I’m not a huge fan of middle grade books because I tend to find them on the boring side but I see the value and merit in this story!

An interesting perspective on the history of what drove Ali to be the person that he became. Kwame’s poetic feel to be the voice of Young Cassius Clay was great.

The poetry works perfectly for Clay's (Ali's) narration. It captures his swagger and constant motion and tension.
