To say that I was quite literally GRIPPING this book was an understatement--I had a small idea of what to expect but the ending still surprised me! This novel is decadent, opulent, and deliciously Gothic to the core.

love a gothic vampire vibe and this book does it so well. it was so interesting to see marian’s descent into this strange world and the ways she has to regain her sense of self. i wanted a little more character development from all the girls in this story, i felt like we only really saw just like outlines of who they all were, but overall i really enjoyed this story.

Het verhaal is te vaag. Het is totaal niet duidelijk of het om vampieren gaat of edelen die koekoek zijn.

Het eind gevecht met het 'poppen' van de kaak en de arousel? Nee...

Ik ben dit gaan lezen vanwege de marketing over Elisabeth of Báthory, maar dit is slechts een inspiratie geweest voor het karakter en heeft er 0 mee te maken.

Ps: dit is een YA schrijfstyle dus geen adult boek.
