Overall an easy read like all sparks books are. I loved reading about Tuck and Clara’s love story and loved the alternating point of views.
I wish the ending was done better. I’ve seen the movie and know it ends differently. But I kept expecting to cry knowing what was coming from the ending but it just wasn’t done well enough to elicit that emotional reaction.
It was predictable but not in a bad way

i enjoyed the story. a quote about love really got to me and had me crying LOL. i had to take long breaks however I was able to finish the story tonight. I just found the movie on demand and started it at 1am ;-)
Can't say I would recommend this one. It's a typical Nicholas Sparks book with no surprises. I wasn't a fan of how he handled the relationship and infidelity. Read it because it was coming to the movies but now I doubt I will go see it now.
Formulaic and predictable Nicholas Sparks story that you can't help but devour.
I was very disappointed with this novel. I have read (and reread) all of his novels and this one seemed to be The Notebook #2. It followed the same storyline. I was really hoping for a new story and I was left very disappointed.
Not one of his best, a little bit boring to be honest, and too much inner dialogue and not enough action in places. Still beautifully written.
Right after they said: 'he'll need a heart transplant,' I knew how it was going to end. I loved every second of this books. That's why Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors.
I am done with Nicholas Sparks. If any of you see me reading one of his books please remind me to stop. The dude has some serious issues with women. In the last few books of his the chicks have all been pieces of shit. Before I even start I know how the book is going to end. The dude is going to get emotionally stomped on by the love of his life. Done. Over.

Of all the endings I imagined, I honestly didn't see that one coming. So heartbreaking! Read this awhile ago and most other details didn’t stick with me, sorry!
Graphic: Bullying, Death, Grief, Abandonment
Moderate: Medical content, Car accident
