Sometimes you need a kids book to make sense of life, this is one of those books. Ans it males you wonder why so little of adulta books are illustrated with the beauty this brings.

I think that this book is a spectacular way to write a story including many facts of sea creatures(mainly whales); this is the perfect book for a 9-12 year old who loves adventure and the ocean.

The Lost Whale
By Hannah Gold

This beautiful children's chapter book is a wonderful story about a young boy called Rio who is shipped over to Califonia to stay with his grandmother for the summer while his mum recovers in hospital.

Rio meets a girl the same age as him on the beach. Here, this stems a relationship of truth, of understanding, and a love for the sea and the humble grey whale.

When Rio thinks that one of the whales is in trouble, his heart and mind will stop at nothing to help the creature.

This tale is full of love, compassion, and hope and has a wonderful environmental concern/awareness running through it! 🌊

Warning ⚠️
Mental health issues, a sense of loss, abandonment, loneliness.

I loved this story, I was so emotionally invested in the characters.
I loved whales when I was a young girl, so I will treasure this book.

Gorgeous information in the back, too, about Whale watching/recording.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me!🤓
