This was such a great concept and I loved the characters and worldbuilding. The action scenes were really well done. It felt like a few too many filler scenes, but overall I really liked this book and would definitely recommend! Also the audiobook narrator killed it and did a great job with all of the distinct voices, it was super well done

Very unique and fascinating dark fantasy. Not much of a romance, just FYI, which is a divergence from Rogerson's norm. Really strong writing, great world-building (though you have to be patient with it sometimes), interesting characters, and intense plot with high stakes.

This is perhaps my favourite of Rogerson's books. I loved the developing friendship between Artemisia and the Revenant, and between her and the people around her as well. And the world-building was so interesting!

I don't usually review books but I read this book incredibly fast and was hooked on every chapter. The plot was really enjoyable, and I love the way the character interactions were written. I'm sad this is a one-shot!
