Too much focus on "monster" and it wasn't even really that bad.. he was just overly weird and mafia lol. And the main female was sooooo... barely any back bone. Idk. I don't even want to read the last of this series. I dislike cheating tropes and this one had it but for a different character. Ick.

For everything this book is about I should hate it, it should have been a DNF and it should have been a one star. But the choke hold this book has on me is soooo. Ok so ash is so embarrassing, this girl literally THROWS herself at Sam with zero self respect and Sam calls her out for it. Literally tells her to go find some self respect….literally catch me dead if a man tells me to find some self respect. She does, and says some really embarrassing shit. For the overall plot, it felt like the author stopped writing for a while and came but and wanted something different. The whole CAT plot was odd not genuinely just not well executed. The whole plot (TRIGGER WARNING: talking about SH stop here if that triggers you, also spoiler warning ig) ummm the plot of Jane being a attention seeking cutter was so cringe and bad. Also why are we trying to pretend the heathy thing would be for her to stay with the dad??? The man is a horrible person (which takes me back to it seeming like the author decided to change plot in the middle of the book) anyways ya, I wish I hated this book but I couldn’t put it down
