12-year-old me loved it, but I didn't like it when I reread it. It's great for tweens or young kids but when you're older it's annoying.
First of all - INSTA LOVE. I DESPISE INSTA LOVE.
Next - the writing style. I felt like it was written by 13-year-old me and let me tell you, my writing style wasn't great. ( ,,He lied to me... And now i have a broken heart." - What did I just read?)
The embarrassing thing that happened to her was SO STRETCHED OUT. If I had to take a shot every time she would mention it I would be completely wasted. I understand it was traumatizing BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO TALK ABOUT IT EVERY TIME YOU'RE HAPPY.
The characters were also pretty childish. Maybe the author should have written the characters a year or 2 younger, it would make more sense.
MISCOMMUNICATION TROPE, HOW LOVELY.
Maybe I'm just not interested in romance, but there was so much swooning and kissing, and ugh, it just made me roll my eyes constantly. Also, kind of awkward if you ask me.

,,I like you so much that I think it might be... love." I JUST DIED INSIDE.

Penny was naive and she over-idealized him, which is understandable given that it's her first love but...

,, He took me to places where I normally wouldn't go"

OF COURSE, HE DID, IT'S HIS HOMETOWN, BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN HE'S YOUR SOULMATE!

What I did like was Penny's protecting brother though XD

The author's style of writing and storytelling is very good and that was also the reason that made me continue reading. The book often seemed to me as a teenager and too sweet. Although there are many good moments in the story, the book has not interested me enough to want to continue the series.

A nice plot twist. It started off quite slow but picked up pace in the 2nd half of the book. Penny sure is a loveable character, and as much as it is seen as she has flaws, the character seems quite perfect. However, Noah and Penelope's relationship is cute and very heart-lifting to read about. That is, until the plot twist.
