Albom's books are easy reads that are good when you want a fast novel to pull you back into reading. I did not find this book as moving as Tuesdays with Morrie, but it was still good. The intertwining of different characters' stories can be found in most of his works; this one is no different. The chapters go back and forth quickly and juxtapose each other nicely. Although I feel some of his other books make intertwine stories more gracefully I still found this an engaging nonfiction read.
Moderate: Death, Gun violence, and Drug use
Minor: Child death
