4.25⭐️i got super attached to the characters, and fell in love with all the different dynamics and the found family. i thought that the magic system was soooo interesting and it was not at all boring to read. and the way it ended?!? hellooooo?! need to get my hands on the second one and figure out what happens next. also…. will and tessa. if they do not fall in love, idk who i will become.

Es una sensación similar a la d volver a casa tras un (laargo) viaje.
parece mentira q hayan pasado ya más d 10 años desde la primera vez q lo leí, y aún así me ha emocionado, encariñado con los personajes y me ha hecho rabiar (iykyk) como el primer día.
sí es cierto q he decir lo negativo: la traducción. certos recursos y frases me crispaban sobremanera lmao. segundo punto negativo: lo pedante q es Tessa en la primera parte del libro. si me está leyendo alguien q se está pensando en leer los libros (fati te miro a ti) mejora y mucho este aspecto.

Siempre se habla de valentine o sebastian como villanos. pero muy poco de Axel Mortmain, y creo q podría ser de los peores villanos. Porque: cómo un humano un simple mortal tiene tantos conocimientos sobre el Mundo d las Sombras, los utiliza a su favor e incluso sus ilegalidades, y llega a engañar a la mismísima directora del Instituto de Londres¡¡¡????¡¡ (q esa es otra, ya llegaremos)
Axel Mortmain es manipulador, narcisista, ególatra, una ambición tan desmedida como su ego para un hombre victoriano de estatura tirando a menuda (visto desde la perspectiva de, nada más y nada menos, que Tessa una tiarrona de 170cm).
Todo eso, está claro que tenía q slair por algún lado. y vaya si lo hizo. involucrándose en bacanales con demonios menores (o mayores). no él, sino incitando (coaccionando es más su estilo) a otras personas para sus sucias ideas.
no olvidemos a su lameculos Nate. qué feliz seré cuando lea su desvivición d nuevo. Acabó arrastrándose x las migajas d un hombre igual que él. Pero más sibilino. Ya lo decían la tía Harriet: tan débil de espíritu, interesado y ambicioso en el juego y bebida. must protect poor child.
Ese tipo d hombres, q no son nada y aprenden lo grandioso q es el mundo y en el fondo son conscientes q ellos no llegarán a ser/hacer grandes cosas, acaban deseando el mundo para ellos. y d ahí su traición hacia tessa.

After the first three books of the TMI series, this book rlly sets Clare apart as a writer. The writing is sooooo hauntingly beautiful in this book and the characters so beautifully written. The plot was so convincing and had many twists and turns you wouldn’t see coming but actually also had so much foreshadowing. Every character, though flawed, was so loveable. While it’s obvious it’s going to be a love triangle, unlike TMI, both boys are sooo loveable and such great characters, you almost don’t know who to root for truly can’t wait to get to the next book of the series !!!
Read this as I loved TMI and thought that there was no way this could be as good. How wrong was I, though it does have similarities to TMI the characters and plot are completely different.
I couldn't put it down and I fell in love with the characters straight away. As with TMI there is plenty of action and a few twists which you don't (well certainly I didn't) see coming.
More than enough to keep you entertained through out. A must for fans of TMI.
