I forgot how quickly this book picks up. And also the epilogue 😩😩

Still not sure if this is my 4th or 5th reading the infernal devices series but I am sure I love it so much

Well I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I can't see why people are drooling about Will Herondale as much as they do, perhaps because it's only the first book. However I'm not very keen to read the other two, although I have them here already.

5 stars because DUH it's a Shadowhunters novel! It was so much fun being back in the Shadowhunter world but with new characters and a new setting. I enjoyed all the parallels to The Mortal Instruments and it was somewhat of a game to me to spot them. I fell hard for all the new characters. Will, Jem, and Tessa are practically my children now which means I'm just in for a shitload of pain to come! The plot twist took me by COMPLETE surprise so the last 80 pages had me on the tip of my toes. Overall, I'm very happy I have the other two books in the trilogy on my bookshelf considering I will be getting to them shortly.

"I think I've seem this film before "
Oh wait I have, but the girls name was Clary and it was in 2007 in New York.

Why were the main plot point at the start of the book the exact same as City of Bone? To be fair though Tessa Gray is a much more likeable then Clary Fray.

I actually ( despite it being similar) liked Clockwork Angel better then City of Bone. The character (apart from Will) were way more likeable.
I don't particularly like Cassandra Clare's writing it's not bad but it's not great either and her chapters could stand to be way shorter there is no need for them to be that long.
This is the 5th Cassandra Clare book that I have read (and by far my favourite) and for some reason I keep coming back. I love the theory of shadows hunter and the shadow world. But the books just fall flat for me I wish I liked them more. Nevertheless I will keep reading the series I have heard that Clockwork Prince is way better then the first.
