No idea why I read the sequel. One of the most boring and awful books I've ever had the misfortune of shlepping through. It was slightly better than the first, but not by much.natfoster's review against another edition

Hate to say it, but there were far fewer sex scenes in this one and of the ones that were fully detailed, they just weren't as /erotic/ compared to the first book (with the exception of two). I've started, and will finish, the third one and it's already so much better; this is just a drag that you have to get through for the finale.

I read this when I was 15 (too young, I know), and even at the time I could not believe that a grown adult wrote this. It reads like a bad fanfic written by a teen.
I am not even going to get into this abusive relationship depicted as romantic, and somehow desirable. Shameful.
