The book is more about world building and less about individual characters. I also don’t love the sisters storyline, it slightly gives me anxiety and I feel like is time better used building the main character. I have no attachment to her and really don’t know anything about her besides mommy issues and her need to be a “hero” and make a decision for her family without giving them the whole truth.

3.5. I liked it, it was fun and the main character was sweet. Could’ve done without “interlude” chapters that stopped halfway through the book. Should’ve just committed to dual point of view
