HE SMELLS LIKE PAPER AND COFFEE!! It took me a little while to get into this book, but once I got through the “world building” chapters it was incredible.
I loved how it was a combination of red riding hood and beauty and the beast in one. The magic system was easy to follow once you understood it, and I genuinely liked Red. Neve was a little irritating and was definitely given too much power too fast ( hence the ending

I came so close to DNFing this book way too often during reading. I kept waiting for it to hook me, and it just never did.
Maybe I didn't have the mental capacity to read it when I did, but I was honestly so confused about the whole magic system and what the point of everything was. I don't plan on reading the second book.

It was a very LONG time since I couldn't stop reading a book. I'm Inlove. I LOVED Red and Eamonn. A very unique story. So worth it!!!

I liked the book overall and I want to finish the duology. I liked the storyline and the characters and depths we got from them and I would recommend. I just didn’t fall in love with the characters/obssessing about it to rate higher
This is the first in the series. I listened to the audiobook and was happy to see there is a second because as it got closer to the end, there was no way they were going to be able to tie up all the storyline items. I would actually rate this 4.25- Red is interesting and I liked what they did with the story.
DNF ~17%. Interesting premise, but it was a little too detailed and overall just took way too long to get the plot moving.
