review to come..

The first half of the book was a little slow and uneventful, but the second one was explosive and amazing, so in sum - four solid stars! Loved Riley, Dallas and Aiden! Can't wait the next book!

Well, I just knew that was going to happen. I feel terrible for Keatyn. But I knew old Dawson was going to have to go at some point. I mean I love Aiden. And I want it to happen already. I'm having so much fun with this story!!! It's just fast paced fun.

If you don't know, which is highly unlikely, this entire series is my guilty pleasure as I like to call it. I'm not so much guilty about loving it anymore, I just call it that because usually stories with so much teenage angst aren't my thing but The Keatyn Chronicles just works for me and I love them. Each book picks up right where the last one ended because it's meant to be like a TV series, which I think is a brilliant idea. So Date Me started off right after Dawson asks Keatyn to homecoming. I liked that because we get to experience more of her reaction first hand and how others reacted to it such as Aiden the God of All Hotties. If there's one thing I learned from this book it's that Jillian Dodd knows how to take a girls heart and drag it every which way all while confusing her brain, that's exactly what she did to me. I was all for Team Dawson after Kiss Me, I was SO excited to see Keatyn and Dawson be together and be happy. I wanted to read about all their little cheesy cute moments and see them have fun and just live their lives but I didn't exactly get what I was looking for and I'm glad for that in the end. To say I'm highly disappointed in who Dawson was in this book and how he acted would be an understatement. I feel like all he ever wanted to do was have sex. I get it he's a teenage boy but this was extreme and I have no clue how Keatyn handled it. Without spoiling anything I can say that I am definitely Team Aiden at this point and I feel like I'll be staying there but who knows because I thought I loved Dawson! These books are exactly like a teen drama television show, you get so caught up in them and you want to know what happens. I'd say they make me feel the exact same way I feel while waiting for a new episode of The Vampire Diaries or whatever other shows I'm fawning over, impatient and needy. I need to know what happens with Keatyn and where she ends up.

Keatyn as a character is hard to explain, she's so many things mixed up in one. She is such a teenage girl and I love it. She makes me laugh, I can relate to her at times, and at other times I want to slap her for doing something completely stupid. When it comes to her and the Vincent situation I feel like she doesn't understand how extreme and serious it is but I also liked how she sort of got a wake up call in this book and it was incorporated a bit more than it was in Kiss Me but I still feel like something more should be going on. One of my favorite elements in Date Me is the fact that Keatyn and Riley grew so close. I loved getting to know Riley as a person and who he really was. I fell in love with him and I kind of wish he was an option for Keatyn but I'll take him since she can't. I have high hopes for Love Me because of the events in Date me and I really think you should give this series a try if you haven't already.

"Don't feel bad. I love this rug. I just want to keep petting it, and I so want to do Ariela on this rug. That's how you can pay me back. Lend me the rug." ~ Riley

The first half of the book started a little slow for me, and the story...I just wasn't connecting with it, but that ending was just too sweet! And it left me so curious to know where the story goes now that I just want August to be here already!

I enjoy this series, but the dysfunctionality of the relationships in this one was off putting. And the underage drinking has gotten to the point of ridiculousness. Seriously, how do high schoolers manage to so frequently procure alcohol? Especially when they are at school sponsored functions or actual bars. It's kind of unbelievable.

*sigh*

More hot sex. More trying to figure out which guy she really wants to be with. More hot sex. More trying to figure out which guy she really wants to be with. Rinse and repeat for too many pages.

I don't understand why - in both this series and the Kihanna Chronicles by Mercy Amare (which is STILL so damn similar to this series that I wonder if there's plagiarism going on somewhere here...) - the stalker thing drags out for SO DAMN LONG. Seriously. This is the 3rd book (out of 6 plus a novella) and... yeah. Nothing's been resolved yet.

Oh well. At least they're fast reads and sadly, they do hold my attention. But my opinion of this series basically being teen smut? Yep. Still holds.

fuck dawson

Book #3 still as addicting as #1 and #2
I can't help but classify these books as guilty pleasures! There is nothing OMG stellar about the writing - they are not supposed to be "deep intellectual books"
This is pure fun, reading candy and I am enjoying every minute of them!! Proof in point I read the first 3 books back to back over a few days!

Get these books if your wanting some Gossip Girl like reading fun!

Can't wait for #4

Oh, and SWOON-o-meter is OFF the charts in these books. So many boys so little time!
