What an amazing, heart-breaking, complicated book, with the most beautiful writing. I don't think I will ever forget this story.

I originally read this in September of 2013. It is just as heartbreaking the 2nd time as it was the first, if not a little more. This book is definitely one of my all time favorites!
this could have been better. the main chara did kinda of annoy me. the only thing i came to like is how he cared enough to get her help after she got bit and that fact he was there to save her from that guy following her. starting off how could you just sit with a stranger and let them put things into your drink. after he bought her drink i would have been thanks and just got sugar or whatever i wanted in it. i am happy that he didnt force himself on her. why did she think it was a good idea to try and leave. you are in the middle of no where and its not likes its a forest! you have no water no food. you are in t sun all the time. just thank you, next!
Edit: I’ve read a lot of fantastic books since this one, and while I’m not one to knock down a rating without a reread, take this with a grain of salt. I read this at the very beginning of getting into books that weren’t YA fantasy.

Such an emotional ride, full of suspense. It made me fall in love with the characters while also feeling conflicted about my own emotions. I cried the whole last few pages of the book because it was so intense but amazing. 10/10.
