I LOVE this book, enough that I reread it every year, and I can count on one hand how many books I do that with. So it is certainly one of my favorites!! It is such an interesting-different plot that I’ve never read before. It was heartbreaking, suspenseful and I couldn’t put it down (any of the times I’ve read it). I believe there is a sequel but I personally have not read that yet. It is on my TBR pile !
you cant even belive how good it is
it is now one of my favorite books is amazing!!!!!
urs so meaningful u cried when reading the last few pages
all i can say is that i love this book its amazing
I think that what really makes it a amazing book is the at first Ty just seems like this crazy guy who captured Gemma at the airport. A stalker. But then when he takes her to australia after a few months Gemma comes to see that Ty isn't a monster and he had a troubled past.Yes he still is crazy but that he loves her, it saddens me when i think about it. Him loving her but her not ever truly loving him back for all the things that he did to her and really who could blame her. But in the end yes she did love him. When she was dyeing she wanted him by her side. he saved her life and he risked everything he had to do it all for Gemma all because he loved her, and he knew that she loved him back.

Touching and thought-provoking. A unique spin on a kidnap tale! Original and engaging! Bittersweet... Totally unexpected!
“Lets face it, you did steal me. But you saved my life too. And somewhere in the middle, you showed me a place so different and beautiful, I can never get it out of my mind. And I can't get you out of there either.
This book has given me second-hand Stockholm Syndrome. It is such a compelling, beautifully written piece of work. At first, the format of the story being written in a letter annoyed me, but as it went on, I started to see how it worked incredibly well at conveying the thoughts and emotions that were going through Gemma's head...the same thoughts and feelings going through me at the moment! Lucy Christopher does such a wonderful job of making you fall for Ty as Gemma does, feeling conflicted the entire time. This is definitely worth the read, and I say that being a non-fan of thrillers. I read it in a day. That should say enough.

I loved this book. i wish the ending was different but it was still real great!
I wanted to read this because it won the Printz Award this year, and I had a hard time giving it a rating. I finally decided to give it 3 stars, because that's how much I enjoyed it, but it I were to rate it based solely on writing and characterization, I would probably give it a higher rating. It was very well-crafted. I probably wouldn't reread it, I had nightmares last night as it was. In my mind, it is definitely reminiscent of "Living Dead Girl," but slightly less horrifying.
This book was fascinating.
This girl gets kidnapped by this boy. And then at the end you can see that she has Stockholm Syndrome.
But on the other hand, you feel sorry for him.
