A Court of Hearts and Hunger
A dark romance Alice in wonderland retelling. As retellings go, I feel as though this one only had hints to the OG story with the characters descriptions and small sprinkles here and there to other elements.
That being said, this was absolutely bonkers with the dark side of retellings and I ate that shit up! I did however “read” this one through audio and I’m glad I did. It added more elements to the story that I enjoyed.
I’m really enjoying this series, I’m not always inclined to read retellings, but it’s been a theme as of late. I am here for it.

I didn't even like the first book but this was still a let down idk. I love an Alice in Wonderland retelling and making it fae was creative but mixing it with the characters from the first book was just a mistake to me.
Clara and Fin both have povs and are the main focus and that's cool they were getting in with some of the Wonderland characters on their half assed mission, I wish they weren't here at all. Like bro we did their story, go away??? At least Louisa and Lir knew to just be cameos not take up half the book.
