Book 2 on this series and the author did not disappoint. A slow build that than turns into "I can't put it down, must know what happens" feeling. I love that the first book was a nutcracker retelling and this one is a Alice in Wonderland retelling. I can't wait to read book 3 which is a wizard of Oz retelling. I loved that the author connected the Queen of Hearts to the Wizard of Oz as it sets up the storyline for book 3. 10/10.
