I wanted to like this book. After all the great things people have said about it, I really kept waiting to fall in love with the characters. I unexpectedly liked Drew at the end, but the others, not so much. There are SO many unanswered questions I have about Josh. I can't come to terms with his character. It was well written and the story was good, there are just some issues that made this book not feel complete to me.
The story telling in this was absolutely beautiful. The plot progression and character development kept me reading, and coming back to find out what happens. I loved Nastya’s relationship with all three of her friends and how much they all loved her. Drew was an asshole but he had such a soft spot for her that made me think “awwww” I wish I had a friendship like that. “What is she to you?” “Family.” Like COME ON that’s so freaking sweet.
Some parts were a little cringe corny but overall it was really good!!! I enjoyed the whole shared trauma bond between N and Josh. Their relationship was very sweet.

I really liked this book. The characters, the narration, the writing style... all of it worked and I could not put it down. I would definitely recommend this book.
I'm pretty outspoken about my heartfelt dislike of books that are overly angsty. I can't stand whiny characters, or characters that I feel act horrible to further the plot of the book. If there's going to be heartbreak, or 'angst', I need to be able to understand it. I need to be able to find a way to relate.
Sea of Tranquility is FULL of angst and heartache, but I can understand why. Nastya and Josh were two teenagers who had both been through Hell. And sometimes, coming out the other side of a journey as wrecked as these, we're broken people. Nastya, in particular, was utterly broken. Knowing that, I could forgive her transgressions more.
The fact that both of these two characters were so damaged, that they felt they had nobody, made it all that much better as they slowly found each other.
I know that this will be a book that I'll read again and again.

This was beautifully written. The story was so good and the ending ties into something said at the beginning of the book. The character development was great, and the relationships were fun to read.
REREAD: This is one of those books that get better each time you reread them. I love this book with my whole heart and hope everyone who reads it loves it and connects with it.

This is the type of book you read alone, at night, under the covers and with a flashlight. Maybe that's just me. I couldn't focus on the story with loud people around and it hindered my like for the book.
If you don't mind profanity, this book was splendid and just . . . WOAH in every aspect. Even if you don't like profanity, the book is soul-screwing and tear-jerking. My friend who recommended this to me said she cried when she read this, but I couldn't get around the profanity.
Don't get me wrong--this was a gripping story with a mysterious protagonist and terrifying suspense. The love interest was adorable but also kinda mysterious.
I do totally recommend this book. But do not take it lightly.
