This book was alright - I definitely did not enjoy it as much as Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom.
This book felt as though not that much actually happening during it but it was more a set up for the next book? It also had a bunch of fantasy tropes which works for some people.
I think the best thing to come out of this book as the Netflix series where they incorporated the Six of Crows characters.

The plot was a bit predictable. I felt like the world could have used more world building, especially in the beginning I had an hard time visualizing the world. I didn’t really connect with Alina, the main character, but I might grow to like her more in the next few books as she does have potential.
Having said that, the writing style is both easy and engaging! I am excited to see how the Gisha trilogy proceeds and how netflix will bring the world to life!
