This, right here, is for anyone who believes diseases are the end of you. It's not.

Heartbreakingly beautiful. So full of hope and encouragement for everyone going through any season of loss or difficulty. I couldn't put it down, read it in 3 days.

a wonderfully HOPEful true story of unimaginable suffering, perseverance, community, love, and miracles. Katherine and Jay don't sugarcoat their dashed dreams and all their grief and anger, but their hippie shines through all the brighter.
Life is far more fragile than any of us would like to admit. This book is a lighthouse of hope to anyone lost in a sea of suffering. Read this. You need it.
After seeing Jay and Katherine speak at our church (and leaving with uncontrollable tears streaming down my face following their profound message), I immediately purchased both of their books and couldn't wait to read more of their story. They are truly an inspiration and a messenger of God. They have a remarkable way of finding meaning and purpose in their suffering and are committed to sharing their message with others. This is a must-read for anyone in need of a little hope (even if you don't know it yet).
Looking forward to reading their second book soon!

Beautiful story about God's faithfulness during immense suffering.
This is a story I’ve wanted to know more about for a while now. I’ve seen Katherine speak. I was a little disappointed. Her humor did not shine through, and I didn’t feel the deep pain and sorrow. Some of the more horrific thoughts and feelings seemed downplayed, making it hard to identify with them in any real way.
