Incredibly transparent from beginning to end. Much more depth than might be expected. Read it slowly and savor its impact on you, the reader.
A masterful story of suffering. My words couldn’t do it justice.

What an absolutely stunning story. I cannot imagine the kind of bravery it takes to be so vulnerable, but I thank these authors for their vulnerability. This story of their lives is so beautiful and tragic. Thanks to them both for the hope and truth they shared.
Hope Heals is not a book you can read and then put back on your shelf to forget about and collect dust. It is the stirring account of a young couple whose entire world was shaken, just a few short years after they were married and only six months after their first son was born when Katherine Wolf suffered a massive brain stroke without warning.
It was a miracle Jay, who was attending law school, was home with her, it was a miracle she survived surgery, and it was miracle after miracle that allowed their love for God and each other to grow instead of collapse during the many years of recovery and trial that followed for them. Reading this couples story of hope even amid so much heartbreak was so beautiful and so encouraging. ❤️

Hope Heals is Katherine and Jay Wolf’s remarkable story of Katherine’s recovery from a massive brain stem stroke. It’s a story of irreparable loss, unrelenting love and the God who entered into both.
“Over the past seven years of this saga, I have learned to do many things well—to wait well, suffer well, cope well, persevere well, and even to lose well. Our culture tells us to succeed, be beautiful, avoid pain, and be happy. What if everything important in our lives is actually the opposite? Maybe it takes life being undeniably terrible before we can truly recognize its undeniable splendor.”

What an incredible story. Not only with what she’s survived and overcome, but of faith and hope and strength.
Grab the tissues when you pick up this book. Katherine and Jay share their story of incredible hope in the midst of life's most devastating circumstances.
WOW!!!! This book was absolutely moving!!! I cannot imagine being as strong as Kate and Jay were during such a difficult time. I felt like I was part of the support system in the waiting rooms. This is such a roller coaster ride being a reader, I just cannot imagine what being in the middle of it was like. I cried and smiled, and cried and smiled, and cried and smiled my entire way through this story. A truly amazing testament of faith!
