This was definitely a solid read. The vibes where there and I loved Enily but I feel like even though this was my first Christie book it’s not the best so I am going to pick up another one soon. While it was a little predictable it was a nice cozy read 3.5 stars

Listened to on audiobook.

I was disappointed to learn that there was no Poirot in this novel. Though, after the first chapter I understood why. No vehicle access. Five feet of snow. Poirot wouldn't touch this case with a ten foot pole.

The Sittaford Mystery, or The Murder at Hazelmoor, takes some interesting variations from the usual Christie mystery. And unfortunately, this is where it lost me. Rather than a recurring detective, and perhaps a bumbling sidekick, Christie decides to take the route of the multiple investigator plot. There were no less than three detectives in this story. Don't get me wrong, I love a large cast of characters. But when there are too many characters actively trying to solve the case, I sometimes lose track of which investigators know what and how close each one is to the truth. It can work. But this one didn't for me personally.

Another negative to having no Poirot. Fashion couldn't have been less on-point. *shakes head*

Reread 2022: Still not really feeling this one. Although I do like the resolution of the crime.
