This was cute and you should read if you’re looking for a cute sapphic romance but also I didn’t really love the resolution.
I found it kind of odd that the whole premise was around one of them ghosting the other (when she didn’t ghost, she just called it off without explanation) and then her trying to get an explanation and not accepting that it was over because she was leaving the country? Which was established on the first date??? She was right, there was more, but I didn’t love that she felt she deserved some additional explanation when they were very upfront about it being short lived and she wasn’t owed anything even if feelings had developed. Idk that just bugged me. Maybe I’m missing something because I read them out of order.

A fun, quick read. I was hoping for a little more spice, but I liked the formatting of where their relationship was now and flashbacks to the past.

I don't know why it took me so long to finish this book once I started. It's actually super short so really there was no reason. Now that I've finished its I'm annoyed I waited so long. It was so so cute. It's one of the few stories I've read that centered on a LGBTQIA+ relationship, let alone one with Black people. I laughed I cried, what a roller coaster in a short little novella. I hope Alyssa Cole will do another story like this at full novel length :D

This was a very quick and fun read with a cute sapphic romance and second chances!

I really enjoyed that the dual perspectives were also in dual timelines! One character had POV for the "then" timeline, while the other had POV for the "now". Even though this is supposed to be part of a series, it works well as a standalone novella!

A sweet filler in the Reluctant Royals series for what happens with Likotsi's HEA. Likotsi was one of my favorite background characters in the main series, and I'm glad she has her time to shine here. The flipping back and forth between the past and present made for a nice change of pace, and it let you discover Fab and Likotsi's relationship along with them. Overall, very sweet, loved the sex scene, and an overall delight.
