~ Live reading w/5 classes

I loved doing this satirical play with my class, and listening to them giggle as the train wreck of a cast train wrecked across the whole of this play. The whole of this play is a contrivance of satire against the upper class and, while I don't find that it has much depth with context research, I do like that one gets a few smiles out of the lunacy of the interactions even without knowing all of that.

originally rated 4 stars because i have a really hard time rating any books 5 stars, but it's 24 hours later and i'm still thinking about this book. it wasn't emotional, it didn't leave me depressed, it just made me crave more. it's such a silly little story and i loved it so much, i'm definitely going to end up rereading it countless times.

I read this for school and remember finding it funny, light and clever. I don’t remember much else, but I know it sparked a love for English class!

they did NOT understand the importance of being earnest πŸ’€πŸ’€

I'm not usually a big fan of reading plays but this one was amazing, funny and witty. The premise is that two young men pretend to be Earnest in order to win the hearts of two young women but things go horribly and hysterically wrong when the women find out their real identities. This book had me laughing out loud, which is not an easy thing to do, and I finished it in one sitting, which is testament to just how entertaining it was. A fantastic read whether you like Wilde or not you have got to give this a try.
