While I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series, this was my favorite book so far. The mystery is well-designed and intriguing — murder with a healthy dollop of family scandal is always the best. And we (finally!) see some significant changes in the recurring themes of the books. I always enjoy Cleo’s plucky spirit. She is forward-thinking and independent without it feeling anachronistic to the time period. And I enjoy very much seeing the progression of the supporting characters from book to book. Such a fun, well-written series.
