Evelyn is unmistakably one of the greatest modern day poets. Her work is satirical, dark, and above all truthful. Truthful about the land on which we live, the history so many have tried to erase and the ongoing trauma that ripples through communities still to this day. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

Fierce, unapologetic poetry that tells the truth of colonialism. Although this is a short 104 page book, these intellectually written, lyrical and honest poems read right, take time. Leave yourself plenty of space to ponder, reread and absorb Evelyn’s work.
