Super smart and funny graphic novel about a trans woman being called on to be the “best man” at her college bestie’s bachelor party weekend - on a horrible artificial island inspired by the worst parts of Elon Musk, toxic masculinity and Las Vegas. But wait - is there also a MLM conference hiding something more nefarious? I loved this peek into what it must be like to be your new self despite how others used to know you, and trusting your intuition to call out the BS around you. Sammie has a great supportive community back home encouraging her, which was beautiful.

Super bananas but overt in its anti-transphobia message. The boys made me so frustrated throughout the book, I’m glad Sammie had her friends and her wife to carry her through all that. Honestly El Campo sounded like a horror world even before the cult and monster stuff.
Whenever I see MLM, my first thought is “men loving men” nice. But it’s gross instead and pyramid schemes run by “bros” are ruining society. I hope the full book is in color cause I liked the coloring of the first few pages but then it went b&w.
