Happy to be current on Vi's collection. I like that I know the type of story I will be reading when I open a story by Vi.
I love the humor and clever one liners she always gives the guys. They have a laid back easy vibe. Relaxed and silly all at the same time. Which is amazing as they have had a hard tough time in their past. They find a way to add laughter to their lives also. In this story I enjoyed Hudson. The beginning was a unique twist in a great way as to how they begin their journey of friendship. Stella was sweet and so happy that she met and fell in love with Hudson.

The Invitation is Vi Keeland's new epic romance. This book is everything! It starts with Stella crashing a wedding where she meets Hudson. They have an instant connection. Sparks flying everywhere. But he figures out she isn't who she says she is. She runs from the wedding only to forget her phone, which she can't afford to replace. What are the chances Hudson is the one who found it? 100%. Stella needs her phone back and Hudson hasn't forgotten her deceit. He also hasn't been able to stop thinking about her. She's not just gorgeous, there's so much more to her. What seem like weird coincidences are just fate's way of bringing two soul mates together. A series of events bring Stella and Hudson face to face. It's up to them what to do with it. Hudson is clear what he wants, but Stella is wary because of her past. It's hard to trust someone but deep down she knows what she wants. Hudson. She fights it but he's not giving up on her. She just has to realize on her own to take the leap. I’m actually having a hard time putting my thoughts and feelings into words! This story is what romances are made of! The slow burn, fate, destiny, friendship, lust and love. I felt so much for Stella and Hudson. They made me laugh, swoon, cry, laugh some more and fan myself. I loved that Hudson was all in. He knew what he wanted and he was patient while she figured it out. Stella is smart and funny and strong. I have a total girl crush on her! I could feel their chemistry and I couldn't stop turning the pages! I finished in a few hours and didn't want it to end. It's definitely on my list of my favorites of the year and is one of my favorites from Vi!
Dear Diary,
From the moment I started reading The Invitation I knew I would FLOVE it! Stella is so smart & sassy and Hudson is just soooo yummy;) He is semi-grumpy yet sweet and omg he’s so cute with Charlie (kinda wish my kiddos were still young so that I could write in their fruit

Vi Keeland’s books never disappoint. Not only did she crash his sister’s wedding, but also his heart <3
Had a lot of potential and good characters . But it’s soooo boring
lighthearted
slow-paced
This was good! Nothing wrong with it could be better but was fun !!
Loveddd it
Felt like a 2000’s romcom in the best way
Actually loved both mcs which is rare.
Also reading old diaries is a cool hobby ,
loved the flashbacks (usually they aren’t done well but i enjoyed them in this book)
Definitely a new favorite

Another amazing book by Vi!! Stella and Hudson were perfect, and thanks to the buddy read I meet a wonderful friend and it was the best sharing our thoughts.
Hudson was awesome, he was an amazing father and his notes on Charlie’s fruits were really sweet. At first I didn’t realize he had a daughter because he always appeared like a workaholic but throughout the book we can read about his relationship with his daughter and it was precious.
Stella was the perfect heroine, she was independent and she knew what she wanted about her work from day one. She was a little indecisive to open up to Hudson but she had every right because she was burned before with people she loved so she took her time but at the end it was all worth it. Her relationship with Hudson was the best, I lived their banter, their chemistry and how it all exploded after months of denying what they both wanted.
The plot twist of the book was amazing too, I had my suspicions for a while and I was right so I really enjoyed how they navigated that problem and Stella and Hudson got their HEA.

End feels a bit abrupt and rushed, would've liked it if we explored more about her own heartbreak. Cos I tell you if my fiance cheated on me with MY sister and MY parents knew it for months, and I'm slowly going crazy while he's gaslighting the shit out of me, there would've been no communication until deathbeds. At that point, either I have found it in my own authority to be a better person, or I would whisper, "Hope you enjoy the conga line when Satan leads it." Cos by god.
Also the Lexi x Jack thing, i feel so bad for Alana. Rating definitely wouldve gone higher if we explored all of this. The timeskip feels so abrupt, alongside that ending.
