I loved this one. Stephen Hawking had a way of putting really big complex concepts in ways that less intellectual people could attain. The forward was a bit dry, but that's what forwards are for. The audiobook had clips of Stephen Hawking giving short answers to some questions sprinkled throughout the book it was a really nice touch. As was his daughter Lucy reading her afterward.

That said - it’s interesting to hear Hawking call the study of history “a study in stupidity” and that we should focus on the future instead. His esteem of Elon Musk is also concerning although Hawking strikes me as someone who doesn’t expend energy on socio-political issues, as if they are beneath him. I don’t know if this is true, this is just the impression I got from this text.

Þessi var virkilega góð. Hún er hopeful og hann er mjög jákvæður gagnvart mannkyninu og framtíðinni: „So remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet“. Mörg concept sem var erfitt að skilja, enda bókstaflega geimvísindi, en samt góð yfirferð yfir stóru málin í nútímanum. Svarthol eru eitthvað það ótrúlegasta sem til er og mögulega er hægt að ferðast aftur í tímann eru með mörgum umfjöllunarefnum í bókinni.
