Neatly entering the story months after the end of Fairy Godmurder, this new tale unfolded and carried me across an even deeper issue among the fae than even FairyGodmurder contained. Excellent references back to book 1. I can’t wait for more. 

While it didn’t detract from my enjoyment, I felt like there was some forced potential ‘shipping - who looks at someone in the heat of a stressful situation and mentally rates their attractiveness or attraction to someone else? On the one hand, I could go for it, but I just don’t think the random bits of that were necessary or natural-occurring in the settings they were placed.
