En mi opinión es una introducción buen sobre Palestina, pero el libro recuérdame mucho que mi preferencia por literatura sobre Palestina de palestinos y cómo mucho literatura de otros son mas populares y mas premios (incluso libros con menos información o la misma que trabajos populares de palestinos) solo porque aún así personas que decir que ellos creen palestinos y se importan, no están cómodo o no les gustan escuchar sobre las vidas palestinas del palestinos.
Y la ciudad gaza él fue mas diferente que la ciudad palestinos escriben sobre en *writings born of fire*. Pero muchos su puntos es importante hoy. Tampoco, personalmente, ya yo se mayoridad de esto. Pero el libro fue practica buena por mi español y leer sobre esta tema en español. Incluso, ya oí sobre las bocas del sionistas en my estudios sobre religión sus planes por palestina en 2020/2019, y sus ideas que si otros personas hicieron genocidio y colonialismo que el perjudico real que el idea no es buen por ellos hice genocidio o tomar todos la tierra o matar los niños con pierdas. (Entonces mi especialmente no me gustan las conversiones con las mujeres israelíes). Pero es probablemente una introducción buena especialmente porque unos del libros palestinos me gusta no existe en español (yo creo). Pero la cuestión de palestina existe y otros libros!
Los dibujos del edificios en gaza...rompieron mi corazón. Y me gustan las entrevista con palestinos pero a veces fue difícil a leer y ver la tortura y los asesinatos.

nonfiction graphic novel... yes!! eye-opening, heart-breaking, fury-inducing. Sacco is a humble and effective storyteller. while i enjoyed the caricature-esque illustrations, the style doesn't exactly lend itself toward pure empathy.

Sacco has a lot of good stories here. Sadly I was not surprised at the amount of violence the Palestinian people have experienced, but it was still jarring to see it laid out. This medium of graphic journalism was interesting too, the drawings really struck me. It was also interesting to see how Sacco’s mood changed throughout the story. As a journalist visiting Palestine he is removed in a sense, yet he still becomes fatigued and tired of hearing story after story of extreme violence and grief. I think that has been reflected in the minds of the western world. People have become apathetic.
A good read for people who have only heard the Israeli perspective or for people who are just getting into the historical context of this conflict.
