Ok this is tough to review because I was on a 3 month reading slump and I was able to read this book in 2 days. Plus, I did like Lim's previous 3 books. I was excited to go back to the Lor'yan series. I was entertained with this book so that's why I give it a 4.75 however...storywise the book is 3 stars. I was excited to explore the dragon kingdom more but we didn't get to explore much of it.

I was actually entertained more with Tru's plight of surviving the human world than the whole dragon stuff (which is crazy because I was excited to continue the dragon storyline from the previous books).

I'm conflicted because the storyline was ok but it also made me break my reading slump...

A standalone fantasy novel about a girl who can paint the future and a dragon lord fighting to take back his underwater kingdom. Heartfelt romance and high stakes adventures propel readers towards a sincerely satisfying ending. Readers who like fairy-tale retellings and authors like Marissa Meyer will enjoy this book.
