I am a sucker for a good Alice in Wonderland retelling, and this one was phenomenal. Dark, twisty, romantic, and magical. Alice x Hatcher hits all my little ship kinks, and the storytelling behind each character had me on the edge of my seat. Can't wait to read the next book!!

if i was looking for “dark content! alice in wonderland” on ao3 or tumblr this would’ve been great. unfortunately this is an actual published book (let alone part of a series).
does the author have a rape fetish? at the very least some prostitution and body mutilation kink.
alice also just sucks as a main. she is SO whiny. this book also seemed a little victim blamey??

this was bad
The ending was a bit underwhelming. Everything was building up to this great encounter with The Rabbit and the Jabberwocky and... it fell short. But I loved the story!
Oh man, it’s darker than I imagined, so check content warnings. With that being said, I think that helped add to some of the resolution points in the story where there was a lot more decisions made that were morally redeemable. I will definitely be continuing this series!
This was dark and desperate and everything an Alice retelling should be! EXCELLENT!
